The Davies Collection is an extraordinary group of 19th and early 20th century paintings. Assembled between 1908 and 1923, the collection is exceptionally strong in realist and impressionist works and includes masterpieces by Cézanne, Daumier, Manet, Millet, Monet, Pissarro, Renoir and Van Gogh, among others.

Zapata Ranch Painting Workshop: Landscape, Figure, Wildlife This February, Zapata Ranch will open it's doors for our first annual painting workshop. Led by Denver area-based and multi-award winning artist Lani Vlaanderen, this long weekend will be packed with 3 full days of instructional workshop where students will have the opportunity to paint from a live cowboy model, wildlife including bison, horses and cattle, as well as the unique San Luis Valley landscape. A great studio space is available for those not wanting to brave the elements and painting from photos is permitted. This is a great opportunity to gather reference from an actual working ranch and receive instruction on how to express your experience in paint.
